Notice of Municipal Offices to be voted on in the Garden City Municipal General Election held on November 2, 2023:

• (2) Town Council Members - 4-year term, each

Candidate filing period begins June 1,2023 and ends June 7, 2023, during normal office hours. Declaration of Candidacy forms will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on June 7, 2023.

Declaration of Candidacy Forms or Nomination Petition must be filed in person with the Town Recorder at 69 N. Paradise Pkwy, Garden City, UT between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm.

Candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Be a United States Citizen at the time of filing.

  2. Be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.

  3. Be a legal resident of Garden City for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment.

  4. Be a registered voter of the municipality.

  5. Not be a convicted felon, unless the right to hold elective office has been

  6. restored.

REFERENDUM

This is to inform you that the Rich County Clerk, Becky Peart, certified the number of signatures gathered for the "Garden City Rezone Referendum" to be 109.  The number needed according to Utah State Code 20A-7-601, was 138.   The certified number of signatures is insufficient for the referendum to be placed on a ballot.
